About Me

The most important thing to know about me is this — I am a relentlessly curious person.

I have over 5 years of experience working in digital marketing and front-end website design, specializing in SEO content, analytics, online paid advertising, and website content management. Along the way, I have gained experience and education in iterative design methods and content strategies to help clients achieve their goals and stay afloat of the ever-changing landscape of marketing online. In terms of my education, most recently I completed my Master of Information (M.I.) degree program from the University of Toronto in June 2020, with concentrations in user experience design and culture & technology. I also have volunteer experience working as part of live A/V crews and stage crews in various contexts, including an electronic music festival, live music shows at bars & venues, musical theater productions in university, and furry conventions.

I have years of both professional and personal experience editing multiple kinds of digital media, including music, graphic designs, website designs, photos, and videos. For the past decade, I have been creating and producing my own music in Ableton Live, and I have experience with other DAWs as well. I have used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator in professional settings, as well as similar image editing and illustration programs such as Affinity Photo, Affinity Designer, Sketch, and Adobe Lightroom. My background in marketing and UX design has allowed me to gain professional training and self-taught experience in other tech skills as well, such as Google Analytics, Google Ads, HTML, CSS, and WordPress. As for interpersonal and soft skills, I excel in event coordination, research, client communication, and hands-on live A/V and stage crew work.

I’m inspired by the performing arts, most specifically music. From my personal creative pursuits to my professional career and volunteering opportunities, from when I was a kid all the way to this very moment, music has been a constant source of inspiration and nourishment for my soul. With every skill and experience I have picked up along the way, my top intention in learning them is this: to use them to help people create amazing works of art. To me, art is the closest thing that humans have in reality to actual magic, and I never get tired of seeing what people create next.

I thrive in environments that require me to use different approaches in dynamically changing contexts, whether it involves problem-solving, communication, or physically demanding work. I am just as comfortable behind the soundboard for a DJ at a convention as I am tweaking the SEO and layout of a client’s website.

  • I have strong written, visual, and interpersonal communication skills which have contributed to my flexibility across multiple situations in my career. I have a keen attention to detail, tone, and intended audience in all of my writing, whether it’s a blog post, website copy, or academic essays. My background in design has helped me create more accessible and eye-catching websites for previous clients. I work well both independently and in teams, and in my previous digital marketing positions my most effective campaigns were the ones where I could regularly talk one-on-one with my clients about their goals and feedback.

My passion for music has culminated in over 8 years of producing my own music, performing live, and volunteering my skills for other musicians and performers. Every skill and experience I have picked up along the way — whether it’s my personal creative pursuits, professional career, education, or volunteering opportunities — is always in service of art and music. I feel obligated to use my skills to help artists, musicians, and creative professionals create amazing things, and this sense of responsibility is relentlessly motivated by my passion for music and the arts.
